The Beginning

Beauty Squared started when native McKinney resident Abigail Drake found herself needing positive change, as she suddenly became the provider for her three children. Because of her love of the beauty industry, she quickly decided to become a licensed aesthetician, and poured herself into it. Once in the field she decided to find and share solutions to the same struggles she had; a lack of time and confidence. She wanted to reduce the amount of time needed to prepare for each day so she and her clients could spend more time doing what they loved with the assurance they still looked their best. Beauty Squared creates a safe, nonjudgemental, un-intimidating place where all people can find connection and receive evidence based, scientifically proven, results driven treatments to feel “you and improved” .

Abigail

My name is Abigail.

I am a Mother of three, a Singer, a lover of Diet Coke, but most significantly to you, a licensed Aesthetician, Permanent Makeup/Tattoo Artist, Piercer, and the owner of Beauty Squared. I believe the career I’ve chosen means people may feel vulnerable around me, because a lot of feelings surround physical appearance and skin health. Too often, women especially, do not feel cared for or comforted, and deal with a lot of external and internal judgement and intimidation. I aim to make sure that is never the case if I can help it, by being a safe person and creating a safe space. I do not take this lightly. I strive to connect, and provide trust and comfort, not just a “beauty treatment”.

I am an avid science nerd, and love to educate myself constantly about science, in particular skin care treatments, techniques, products and ingredients. I love to educate each of my clients about how their skin works inside and out, putting to use my knowledge and experience to offer treatments and products that will be the most effective for their unique and individual skin.

I love saving my clients time and effort by providing the most up to date techniques in Permanent Makeup so they wake up ready! I have found so much joy providing people with wearable art through tattoos, ear piercing and ear styling as well.

When you make an appointment to see me, know that I will do my best to make you feel at home, accepted, seen and heard, and that I will do my utmost to help you get the results you’re looking for!

Let me help you save time getting ready each day, and build your confidence while you enjoy individualized treatments from myself and my talented Aestheticians and Nurse.

Ariel

My name is Ariel.

Born and raised in McKinney, I loved walking around downtown as a little girl like I do with my beautiful daughter now. I remember seeing the big house on Davis street, admiring how gorgeous it was. Little did I know it would become my workplace!

A couple years ago I decided to make a personal change and took a leap of faith to do something I really love. I’ve been passionate about skincare, lashes and brows for so long, because I struggled with self-confidence (especially because of acne) growing up. I decided to lean into my passion and become a licensed Aesthetician. Now I get to work with Abigail in that beautiful Davis Street building at Beauty Squared!

I pour my heart and soul into the environment I create for my clients. My goal is to make people feel heard and important. Connection is a big deal for me, so I strive to create it with everyone who walks in the door.

I’m determined to make each of my clients feel confident and fulfilled. I hope to build your trust by providing individualized care using my knowledge and skills, making sure you have the tools, education and guidance to get to any goal we set for you! I can’t wait to meet you!
